Character Design - Lesson 3

In this lesson we drew out characters heads using the idea that the more extreme you make the proportions  the more memorable the characters will be.

Fig 1. is the first set of drawings and the heads are mostly circular in shape.


 Fig 2.

After speaking to Justin I made the shapes of the heads different and made them more extreme ass can be seen in fig 2. & 3.

Fig 4. shows Mickey Mouse. In this exercise we drew out the chest, hips and joints that make up the character.


Fig 5.

Using the idea above we drew out head, chest, hips, and joints in random positions to join them into different character ideas.
